This talks explores a number of security technologies that are part
of the Solaris Operating System platform. We focus on technologies
that were introduced into the platform as part of Solaris 10:
the fine-grained process privilege model, the OS virtualization and
containment technology known as Containers (or Zones),
the multi-level secure labeling technology known as Solaris Trusted
Extensions, a new default-safe stance known as Secure by Default,
and finally an overview of projects that are work in progress in
the OpenSolaris community.
